The University Scholars Program welcomes National Geographic Photographer David Doubilet to Scholars Forum Series October 1st and 2nd at 3:00pm in the Campus Cinema!
Considered the world’s leading underwater photographer David Doubilet has introduced a generation to the mystery and wonder of the deep. He has photographed more than 70 stories for National Geographic reporting on coral reefs, historic shipwrecks, ocean predators, and exotic marine creatures. In his presentation on the Earth’s “Secret Edens,” he will take you on a journey from the heart of the coral triangle in Indonesia to Africa’s Okavango Delta, where seasonal floodwaters transform a desert into flowing rivers filled with crocodiles, hippos, and a lily forest.
The University Scholars Program’s Scholars Forum Series is free and open to the campus and community. This event is cosponsored by the Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) Program and the Union Activities Board (UAB).
