After reviewing last year's attendance at UAB-sponsored events, general body and committee meetings, we have found that as each academic year comes closer to an end, our attendee numbers seem to slump. In an effort to increase our fan base, we will be instituting an incentive program with the purpose of increasing student involvement in UAB activities.
Essentially, we will keep a running record of students who attend both our events and meetings. Once a student attends at least five separate events/meetings, he/she will be given an incentive (to be determined at a later date).
Along with this incentive program, we will hold meetings specifically for student inquiries and ideas. These meetings will be held one hour prior to general body meetings (refer to our calendar for meeting dates and times). We hope that this will encourage greater involvement in UAB-related activities from the student body at large.
