America Ferrera will speak on her experiences on valuing diversity as it relates to her television series Ugly Betty and her recent role in the PBS film, Half the Sky which debuts October 1. Based on the novel, it draws a compelling picture of the trials and triumphs of women worldwide.

In America today, we live on neo-diversity frontier. On that frontier the situation is that we all are required to have contact with people who do not look like or even sound like us. In his presentation,Dr. Nacoste will describe how this neo-diversity influences our everyday interactions and what each of us can do to have smooth social interactions on this new frontier.
