Purpose and Goals

For the students, by the students, the UAB and its committees create innovative activities that stimulate, motivate, educate and involve the Student Body. It develops and carries out social and cultural programs for the benefit of the campus community.

Our goals this year are to co-sponsor more events with other student organizations, to make UAB a highly recognizable student organization through branding, to invite more student involvement so as to bring a wealth of creative ideas to the organization, to enlarge our committee memberships, to extend our reach to Centennial Campus, and to make our big events all the more bigger and better.

Major Events

Each year, the UAB hosts major signature events that are sure to bring in the crowd. Some of these include:

BSB's Back to School Jam
film series and screenings
comedy shows
DAB's Cultural Show
Taste of NC State
BSB's Pan-Afrikan Festival
The All-Night Bash
The Red and White Ball

As you can imagine, a lot of planning goes into each of these events. That's why we need your help to maximize the experiences that these events offer. If it means bringing your ideas to a committee meeting, volunteering your time at these events, engaging in UAB's online social networks, or just attending these events to check out the fun, we encourage you to get in where you fit in.
