Films

The Films Committee selects and promotes the films shown at the NCSU Campus Cinema. With our eclectic tastes in films we aim to satisfy every type of moviegoer, offering box office blockbusters, as well as occasional independent films. At random, the committee runs sneak peek previews, allowing students to screen films before they are released to the public in theaters across the country.

Our mission is to provide students with engaging films and fun promotions, programs, and events related to these films.

Our signature events are the Pinwheel Film Festival and film premieres (Last year we showed Dir. Christopher Nolan’s A Dark Night).

Our goals for the upcoming year are for a record-breaking attendance, 40% committee growth, an increase in the number of entries for the Pinwheel Film Festival, and aggressive video ad campaigns for both the committee and schedule films.

Meetings will be held every other Monday from 5–6 p.m. in Witherspoon room 107 beginning August 31, 2009. Membership is open to the entirety of the student body with perks including VIP seating at screenings, free cinema admission, and first dibs on movie posters.
